      Testing and Investigation of Post Tensioned Structures

      PLEASE NOTE THAT THE VENUE IS THE JURYS INN, WELLESLEY ROAD, CROYDON, ROOM 101  Testing and investigation of Post Tensioned Structures This talk will outline a new approach to the testing and investigation of Post Tensioned Structures, allowing detection of the PTSI ducts and then allow investigation to determine the presence of voids and therefore risk of corrosion to said ducts. It will also outline other applications of the two technologies to the civil engineering sector and beyond, and in particular the importance of training and experienced staff using the new technology. Bio - Warren Thomas Warren Thomas has been involved with testing and investigating of civil engineering structures for nearly 30 years. He set up Henderson Thomas Associates in 1996 and has been involved with major investigation commissions all over the UK and Eire. More recently has been involved with developing innovative applications of GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) and Ultrsa-sonic Pulse Echo technology, initially applied to post tensioned structures. HTA’s main thrust is to ensure the assets around us are properly maintained and inspected using the most up to date technology.
