September book of the month - Trevor Noah - Born a Crime

Hi readers, this will be the fifth meeting for 2019 of the Afro Reads Book Club for people from the African, Afro-Caribbean and Afro-American communities. We will be discussing Trevor Noah - Born a Crime - Stories from a South African Childhood. Afro Reads Book club will be meeting at the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank Centre, Belvedere Road, Lambeth, London SE1 8XX at 2.30 pm. We are meeting outside the Royal Festival Hall near the bust of Nelson Mandela I will be holding my copy of the book. It is usual practice for Members to purchase and read the book in advance and then turn up for a guided discussion. Your host chairs the meeting bringing along a list of questions/ themes for discussion and everyone is given the opportunity to discuss the issues presented by the book. Readers are also encouraged to bring along their own questions but there is no pressure to do so. If you have not had the opportunity to complete the book that's ok also just come along and join in the discussion. https://www.facebook.com/AfroReads
