      Mind and Its Potential  with Geshe Tenzin Namdak  21-22 SEPTEMBER SAT 10:00 - 15.30 and SUN 10:00 - 12:30 Your booking will be valid for Saturday and Sunday. Booking is highly recommended it because Jamyang can give you a better service.  NEW: Booking deadline 20th September 2019.  /ABOUT Jamyang Buddhist Centre is delighted that Geshe Namdak will be teaching all thirteen modules of the FPMT Discovering Buddhism Course over the next three years. During September to November 2019, Geshe Namdak will teach the first four modules. It will be possible to study each module individually or to study the entire four modules for this year and participate in the assessment process.  Please click here for more information about the Full course. Mind and Its Potential - Discovering Buddhism –  1 Module without assessment  In this module you will explore the differentiation between mind and brain, mind as the creator of our experiences, and the implications of possessing a mind that has no beginning and no end. In addition, you will learn methods to transform destructive thoughts and attitudes and create a positive and joyous mind. One module will be offered each weekend, The Saturday will consist of teachings given by Geshe Namdak. The Sunday morning will consist of group discussions, a Q&A session and a guided meditation. Those who wish to study individual modules can attend both days or only Saturday. /TEACHER Geshe Tenzin Namdak was given full ordination by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and is our new resident teacher.  He recently gained his Geshe degree, the equivalent of a doctorate of philosophy in our education system. A Dutch citizen, he teaches in English and is well known for his warm, gentle, inclusive style. /BOOKING INFO All welcome. No prior knowledge assumed. TICKETS: Dharma teachings run on a 'Generosity model', based on voluntary donations. By donating you will help create the conditions for the teachings to be available, meals to be served, accommodation to be clean, for the doors to be open and the lights on. Therefore people of any faith or background are welcome. Single Module without assessment Suggested donation £66 including Eventbrite fee (lunch not included). Selecting the ticket for the 21st September, your booking will be valid also for Sunday 22st September. Free Donation: No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
