      EVENT DETAILS
The Doubleclicks and Helen Arney - afternoon family show

Announcing a very special relaxed afternoon performance in London for families (and fans of early nights!) All the way from the United States, it's sibling folk-pop duo THE DOUBLECLICKS supported by London's own geek songstress and Festival of the Spoken Nerd-ette HELEN ARNEY. Please join us for an hour of nerdy, funny, heartfelt music and nerdy, funny, heartfelt fun on a Sunday afternoon. - - - Things you need to know: - Everyone is welcome to this show! Kids tickets are £5, adults £10, and a ticket for a family of four is £20. - If you can't make it along but want to support the show, or can afford to pay a little more than the standard ticket price, there's also a donation option.- The pub does lovely food and a wide range of drinks. We'd love you to get your food and drinks at the bar either side of the show. If you let them know you're here for the show upstairs when you order, it will help us keep the hire cost of the venue low. - Sadly the venue is not wheelchair accessible. There's a narrow flight of stairs between the ground floor and the performance space. If you have some limited mobility we can find some strong arms to help you get up and down, but there is no lift (aka: elevator).- We're also doing two evening shows on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August - tickets are here. For those shows, under 18s must leave the venue as soon as the kitchen closes, at 9.30pm sharp.  - - - THE DOUBLECLICKS are a folk-pop music duo made up of siblings Laser and Aubrey. At this show, the siblings will perform songs geeky, snarky, sweet, and uplifting, on their cello, ukulele and meowing cat keyboard. The latest Doubleclicks album, “The Book Was Better” has songs about video games, gender identity, and trying to get away from the Internet. The Doubleclicks songs are for everybody, and tend to be appreciated by nerds, queer folks, kids and rad folks who helped fund the production of their new album on Kickstarter, and have made three of their previous albums Billboard-charting successes. The Doubleclicks have been played on NPR shows like All Things Acoustic, and featured on BoingBoing, io9 and Geek & Sundry, and the Huffington Post. The Doubleclicks have opened for nerd stars like Jonathan Coulton and Wil Wheaton, performed at dozens of conventions, libraries, colleges, comedy clubs and game stores around the US, Australia and Canada, and released more than 70 music videos on YouTube, where they have 16,000 subscribers and 3 million views. - - - Science presenter, geek songstress and ‘Voice of an Angle’ HELEN ARNEY has appeared on TV, Radio and in theatres across the world with her unique mix of stand-up, songs and science. You might have seen her explaining physics while riding a rollercoaster for BBC2 Coast, electrifying Sandi Toksvig on QI, singing the periodic table on Channel 4, smashing a wine glass with the power of her voice live on Blue Peter, hosting ‘Outrageous Acts Of Science’ on Discovery Channel, or touring with science comedy phenomenon Festival of the Spoken Nerd. She has also filled several notebooks with rhymes for Uranus, none of which are printable here.
