City Funk Orchestra began life in 2010 with a 6 month residency at City Of London’s exclusive Club Ten before taking their finely-polished, authentic brand of 70’s/80’s dance/funk to the South London venues that remain the heartland of true Brit soul fandom and where the bonding with soul music aficionados was instant.
Nine years on and the band continues its campaign to ensure CFO audiences get down and dance, appearing alongside Average White Band at Hampton Pools Summer Concerts, and headlining the Brissago Funk & Soul On The Lake Festival in Switzerland.
