The Year That Was - an illustrated talk by Martin Rowson

To mark the weird coincidence of the 6th Day of Freedom from the EU (or not), the 298th anniversary of Robert Walpole becoming Britain’s very first Prime Minister and his own 32nd wedding anniversary, award-winning Guardian cartoonist and long-time Ladywell  resident Martin Rowson will be providing his annual review of the Year That Was through cartoons, chat, profound analysis and foul-mouthed ranting. Followed by a Q&A, be prepared to be shocked, enlightened and thoroughly entertained! Please join us for this rare opportunity for an informal and intimate discussion from one of the UK's most distinct political commentators and help support Brockley Max. (All ticket sales to go towards this year's festival.) Martin will be selling copies of his new collection of poems- Pastrami Faced Racist & other Verse and illustrated book - The Pen is Mightier than The Words. Over 18's only. Plus, 10% of the sales of The Chandos' delicious food and drink will go towards Brockley Max.
