Teaching when time is short (the 'win win' formula): Additional Skills for Teachers at Imperial College (ASTIC)

Teaching when time is short: The 'Win-Win' formula Open to existing community teachers linked to Imperial College London  How can GPs meet the challenges of teaching students with the demands of a busy clinical practice? This workshop will give you tips for ad-hoc and structured teaching to help you prepare (or look prepared) for unpredictable teachable moments. You will identify tasks to keep students engaged within the consultation, outside of the consultation and by utilising the wider primary care team. You will also try out ‘quick’ teaching techniques to aid your teaching when under time pressure. The course will be facilitated by Dr Maham Stanyon, year 3 GP course lead with support from Nadine Engineer, Faculty Development Manager. Your booking is free because you are an existing Imperial College GP teacher or a trainee please, ensure that you can attend on the relevant date otherwise you will block a place for someone who can.
