18:00 / David Robinson presents the third annual Rachael Low Lecture

We are delighted to welcome David Robinson, to present the third annual Rachael Low Lecture.

A former Times film critic, David is perhaps best known as Chaplin's official biographer and author of many books on cinema history. He is also the director of the world's premiere silent film festival at Pordenone, Italy and remains a prolific author, collector and ambassador for the art of silent film.

Rachael Low is a key figure in the history of the study of early British cinema. Her pioneering studies published as The History of the British Film 1895 - 1929 (BFI) are an unparalleled source for students of the subject and it remains the unchallenged standard text in its field.
