Politics and International Relations Twilight Lecture - Greenwich Campus

Our series of twilight lectures are aimed at students currently studying at Level 3, to complement their studies and/or to provide an insight into studying a range of disciplines at degree level.  The Politics and International Relations lecture, delivered by Programme Leader, John McClean, is entitled, 'Why our MPs are Great'. The popular narrative that British MPs are in it for themselves and only after the money. The truth is very different. British MPs are very hard working and highly committed people who often work well beyond twilight and late into the night! They represent those who elected them; scrutinise the government of the day; work hard to improve the lives of the British people. This talk seeks to explore what it is that MPs do and how their endeavours should make them highly valued and respected members of society. All of the twilight lectures are delivered at the beautiful and historic Greenwich Campus on the south bank of the Thames at Greenwich. We welcome group bookings by teachers, or students are permitted to attend independently and can make individual booking.  Note: All bookings can now be found on the University of Greenwich website, please find more informaiton on www.gre.ac.uk
