      Clinical, Educational & Health Psychology 2018/19 Lecture Series

      The Research Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology invites you to our 2018/19 lecture series.   This series will demonstrate the breadth and overlap in research within the department, and provide a space for colleagues and students to come together. We start the term with a lecture from speakers from our own department, and then finish with a lecture from a guest speaker.   All lectures will be from 4:30 – 5:30 and will be followed by a drinks reception.   Our speakers and topics include:   First term Topic: Psychological research in the real world 4th October 2018 CEHP Speakers: Prof Val Curran, Prof Dino Petrides and Dr Paul Chadwick  Chair: Prof Stephen Pilling  Location: TBC Topic: Persecutory delusions: developing new treatment 6th December 2018 Visiting speaker: Prof Dan Freeman (Oxford University) Chair: Prof Stephen Pilling  Location: TBC   Second term Topic: Antisocial behaviour in young people 14th January 2019 CEHP Speakers: Prof Essi Viding, Prof Peter Fonagy and Dr Leslie Gutman Chair: Dr Jessica Dewey  Location: TBC Topic: ‘Medically unexplained symptoms’: my clinical and research journey over 30 years 13th March 2019 Visiting speaker: Prof Trudie Chalder (King’s College London) Chair: Prof Patrick Luyten  Location: TBC   Third term Topic: What can psychology offer pre and post crisis? 1st May 2019 CEHP Speakers: Prof Helene Joffe, Dr Ben Hayes, Dr Amanda Williams and Aseel Hamid Chair: Prof Chris Brewin Location: TBC Topic: Exploring causal pathways in mental health 30th May 2019 Visiting speaker: Prof Marcus Munafo (Bristol University) Chair: Prof Susan Michie Location: TBC All are welcome!
